The Western Regional Conference has been a tradition for many years and is a student run conference for Optometry students! This years conference will be run by the SCCO chapter of the American Optometric Student Association (AOSA). The conference is open to all optometry students with most students in who attend are from one of the three schools in California: University California Berkeley School of Optometry, Western University of Health Sciences School of Optometry and the Southern California College of Optometry.
The Western Regional Conference gives students a chance to attend for a weekend of great lectures, networking opportunities, and fun!
This years conference is focusing on 'how to be a better doctor.' Lectures will take place on the Saturday of the conference and include presentations on low vision, ocular disease and a live video feed of a LASIK procedure. Saturday there will also be an exhibit hall where you can check out the latest technologies and get a chance to win an IPAD2!
Lots of fun will be had at the conference with some great social events planned Friday and Saturday and we will end the conference at one of the newest clubs in LA!
